Fourth and fifth grade students made self portraits based on the artist Archimbaldo. I used an overhead projector to trace each student’s head, the they drew things that represented them. Each thing had to overlap something else. They had to have at least three descriptive words and three symbols that represented a certain personality trait or belief.
