This week we made these adorable love lanterns!
With all the bad things happening in the world right now, this art class brought us a much needed distraction and revived our hearts. The kids decorated beautiful lanterns that lit up their faces, and the light of love in this space brought us hope. My daughter read a book called “In My Heart” by Jo Witek about feelings and colors and asked the kids what hope meant. She said, “when something good happens after something bad, it gives us hope.” That moment stayed with me.
Art has a way of expressing what words sometimes cannot. It allows us to share our emotions, our dreams, and our love in ways that go beyond language. Seeing the kids create, shine, and fill the room with light reminded me why art is so important bc it brings us together, lifts our spirits, and gives us hope.
I have added links to all the materials I purchased on Amazon at the bottom of this post.
