I have set up a black light in the room for a glow painting center! My goal is to have four of these lamps, so I can light the whole room. This lamp only cost $15 and it is two feet long.
It is really fun and of course the kids think it is SO COOL!

How much fun it must have been for the kids to create glow in the dark paintings! You must have rock star status in the school by now. :) I would love to try this sometime!

DeleteIt is very awesome, you should try it! I think the glow station has gotten the best KID REVEIWs based on their extreme excitement of any project we have ever done!
DeleteTHis is such a cool idea! Where did you get the light? Do you use regular fluorescent tempera paints? How will you display kids' work when it is done? I would love to try this with my students. I know they would really like it! Thanks for the idea.

Thanks Nora, I got the light online from Amazon, and yes we are using regular neon tempera paint. The paintings look great in regular light. They have to draw it with black marker and fill in blak parts with black paint first, then they fill it in with neon colors.
DeleteThe black light is way cool!!!! The kids are going to want to use it all the time!
ReplyDeleteI think I will have the glow station for the rest of the year. It is a great incentive for good behavior and to finish their work
